Justin started his business career with  Global management consulting McKinsey & Co., in London and financial services board level recruiter and fundraiser Armstrong International. Using these experiences and networks, he then built a business support practice advising UK SME founders on strategy and investment readiness  - and has worked on many EU funded programmes in the UK under prime contractors Winning Moves (Birmingham) and Winning Pitch (Manchester) including:

  • Destination Staffordshire (Midlands)
  • Digital Catalyst (North East)

 

He had extended engagements with a number of UK clients.

For GRIP UK Ltd, MBC assisted with a crowdfunding for £6 figures investment, a successful application for Goldman Sachs 10000 Businesses Programme placement for MD, acted as Interim Financial Director and provided investment readiness & helped to recruit a corporate finance agent which resulted in offers of finance £7 figures from a VCT
For iSchool Ltd, MBC assisted with investment readiness and helped the Founder to raise £7 figures from a business angel.

 

Through marriage he was introduced to Croatia. After a number of high impact projects helping Croatian firms to export to the UK - where he helped them to find customers, investors and partners, and suffering COVID 19 disruption, Justin decided to locate permanently to Croatia. He and his wife now operate a shared sister consultancy from Mali Tehnopolis, Samobor, focussed on helping SEE IT and financial services businesses.

In earlier years, Justin worked on the following SEE export projects
For Ador d.o.o., MBC helped the owners to bid for and win a web and mobile application development project employing 30 flash animators and developers at its peak. MBC also acted as a Project Manager and Client Liaison.
For MICRO PROCESS d.o.o., MBC an MB helped its owner to select solutions from its portfolio for spin-out and to seek partners/investors at regional VC conference PODIM (Maribor, Slovenia)
For Codel d.o.o., MBC helped the owner to set up a UK satellite to find partners and funding opportunities for R&D projects for Industry 4.0 problems (paused during Corona travel restrictions)
For Azelija d.o.o., a non IT firm, MBC conducted a UK market entry study, found first trade customers/builder dealers, helped to design a modular garden building product for the UK market (the Oaza/Oasis), co-founded and ran Azelija’s UK distributor/builder-dealership to a 7 figure run-rate in sales (prior to Azelija’s acquisition)
