The challenges faced by perfume buyers are too much choice and lack of information to make the selection easier, bad experiences with perfume testing (many test strips not making it clear on which an individual perfume is on) and often missing test strips. On the other hand, perfume manufacturers do not have data on their users. The companies do not know how many people have tested the perfumes, who these people are, how they were advised and last but not least, how many people bought the product after testing it.
The Scenty-Box is a self-service device that solves the confusion of offering hundreds of different options and increases the efficiency of the perfume selection and purchase process. It works as a personal assistant to facilitate the selection of perfumes in drugstores and perfume shops.
Using the touch screen, the user can easily sort and search a popular perfume and compare similar perfume bases. An innovative technology applies the selected fragrance on the screen to a piece of paper and prints the brand name and QR code. Once the strip is sprayed on and printed, the customer receives it through the marked slit. The customer can make the purchase in the store as before or take the strip home and after checking it, scan the QR code and order the desired product via the online shop.
