Most recreational runners run with harmful technique. The main technique difficulty is landing on the heel due to the low position of the pelvis, which can over a long period damages the ankles, knees and spine. Regular recreational runners who engage in training that helps them improve and upgrade their physical fitness. However, they have too little focus on improving technique, which along with improving physical fitness would have multiplied positive effects. In addition, because of lack of time, runners do not take the time to repair their technique.
Running Analysis is a professional automated video analysis of running technique. With a few steps in Running Analysis, the runner is first recorded with a smartphone from two angles: from the side and then from behind. Second, according to the recorded clip and some quick inputs of the runner's information, the technology independently processes the image and displays results with key information about the technique and directions for improvement. Third, the runner receives a report of results with key information about running technique and any corrections. The target audience is the generation of younger, regular, recreational runners (20 to 40 years) who run more than 50 km per month and are inclined to use technology to upgrade their performance and efficiency.
