Robert Blatnik is a technology management and spin-off company expert at the Jožef Stefan Institute's Center for Technology Transfer and Innovation. He holds a master's degree in New Media and e-Science from the Jožef Stefan International Postgraduate School, a bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences at the University of Maribor and an EDP program at the MIT Sloan School of Management in the USA. He is a holder of a recognized Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) certificate.

He gained his experience as a researcher in the field of electronics and computer science and as a member of the board of the Združenje profesionalcev za prenos tehnologij Slovenije and as a member of the Enterprise Europe Network sector for ICT. He has also participated in the founding of eleven spin-off companies: Genuine Technologies, Infinite, FlexHex, InoVine, RGA, Plasmadis, Nanos Scientificae, Particulars, Vibteh, Modro oko and Inncert.

Today, he organizes, leads, and lectures at educational and partner events for intellectual property protection, innovation marketing, high-tech entrepreneurship and partnerships for industry and researchers. He is a part of the organizing committee of the International Conference on Technology Transfer, at which he has been leading a selection of the most market-interesting innovations of entrepreneurial researchers since 2010.
