Members of the Initiative Start:up Slovenia are pledging to co-create a globally recognizable and modern entrepreneurship ecosystem with all our knowledge, vision and social responsibility. We are working on the basis of the Start:up Manifesto, which is the basic document of our work and vision. The manifesto defines the key activities needed for establishing modern mechanisms for the commercialization of knowledge. The purpose of the manifesto is to encourage and connect all the actors of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in order to place Slovenia amongst the best global start-up hubs for flourishing talents. The results of the Initiative Start:up Slovenia in two years of existence
In two years of existence, the Initiative Start:up Slovenia has:
- Jointly organised more than 400 events for entrepreneurs and business talents, at which more than 13,000 people participated
- Helped more than 800 business teams and companies through programmes and activities, when the former were developing the idea as well as when they were starting the company and making it grow globally.
The mentioned results show that Slovenia possesses one of the most modern, comprehensive and active start-up ecosystems in Europe.
We pledge that with the already existing and new partners, with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and its executive institutions, the Slovene Enterprise Fund and the Public agency SPIRIT Slovenia, we will continue to contribute our part to the development and implementation of services within the national start-up ecosystem.
We will strive towards its recognisability in the national and international environment, as we firmly believe that start-up companies are one of the key foundations of the future of the Slovenian economy.
