Remigo has once again proved its worth by receiving "Special Mention" in its category at the prestigious DAME Design Award 2021 with its product RemigoOne. Startup Remigo d.o.o. has completely rethought the small outboard motor with state-of-the-art technology solutions, based on a friendly user experience, centuries of nautical knowledge and cutting-edge minimalist design. The company has also been awarded P2 and SK75 funding from the Slovene Enterprise Fund.
RemigoOne wins flattering title among more than 100 products
DAME Design Award is the world's largest marine competition since 1991. The aim was to promote design in all fields and to recognise the best-designed products at METSTRADE. The jury strives to look at a number of factors when evaluating products, such as functionality, aesthetics and the packaging of the finished product. This year's awards ceremony was chaired by renowned naval architect and yacht designer André Hoek, who selected RemigoOne as the product deserving of the flattering title of "Special Mention" from more than 100 products from 25 different countries around the world.

The beginnings of the startup Remigo date back to 2019, when the company decided to solve the problem of small outboard motors, which are extremely user-unfriendly, due to smell, bulkiness, tricky ignition, heavy batteries, etc. Since the company's team is also interested in the nautical industry, they wanted an electrical solution that would improve their lives.
After observing and talking to many boaters, they found out what they wanted and what they thought was missing on the market. The Remigo team has completely rethought the small outboard motor with state-of-the-art technology solutions, basing it on a friendly user experience, centuries of nautical knowledge and cutting-edge minimalist design. The result is a sleek, user-friendly, all-in-one, smart e-motor. RemigoOne's first product, which also received the flattering title of "Special mention", is being successfully marketed and the company is expanding its distribution network across key European markets and plans to enter the US next year.
Remigo's new generation of small outboard engines is packed with innovations, designed to simplify the use of the product. It's also the world's first outboard engine designed on the principle of usability, designed and manufactured in Slovenia.
