At a special workshop of the European Committee and the government of the Republic of Serbia, the representative of the Initiative Start:up Slovenia, Urban Lapajne, presented the efficient initiatives and programmes for encouraging and supporting entrepreneurship as well as self-employment among youth, carried out by the Initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and its agencies (SPS and SPIRIT).
Good practice was, amongst others, also presented by the Serbian minister for labour and employment, Aleksandar Vulin, and the minister for education, science and technology, Srdjan Verbić, as well as the representative of the European committee Thomas Bender, head of the Directorate-General of employment.
The event took place within TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument) of the European Committee.
The whole-day workshop took place yesterday in Belgrade and was attended by the representatives of the Serbian government, ministries and government as well as non-government agencies. Its purpose was to discuss efficient measures for employing youth and transferring good practice of member states in this field, with emphasis on establishing a favourable environment for entrepreneurship and self-employment.
