For the fourth year in a row, the Sežana Incubator has been entrusted with organizing the NASA International Space Apps Challenge hackathon for Slovenia. At the world's largest international space and science marathon, participants solved global challenges based on publicly available data from NASA.

NASA International Space Apps Challenge has once again lived up to its reputation as the world's largest hackathon. More than 31,400 participants from 160 countries took part in this year's 11th edition of the hackathon, seeking solutions to 23 challenges.

The Slovenian expert jury was most impressed by NACA, a team of students who programmed a space survival video game—Astrovival—during last weekend's event.

Second place went to the team from Serbia—The Provincials, and third place went to the DAPSA team.

An expert panel will judge the winning team from NASA in the coming months. The prize for the winners is a chance to see a rocket launch and the opportunity to work with NASA and investors to develop their idea in an accelerator program.
