What can you expect at Mini Seedcamp Ljubljana?
MINI Seedcamp is a one-day event at which start-ups and mentors from all across Europe meet up. It is organized by the London accelerator Seedcamp with help of local partners. Start-ups pitch their project, followed by “one-on-one” mentoring. The goal of the event is to connect teams with people who will be able to help them using their knowledge and experience. Of course the final goal is to find start-ups into which Seedcamp will invest, such as Zemanta, Vox.io and Oust.me. Local Slovenian finalists will be invited to the Seedcamp Week happening in Berlin in November, where the accelerator will also announce the names of start-ups into which it wishes to invest.
Remember, the last MINI Seedcamp event in Ljubljana took place in the Crystal palace in July 2011. In 2012, the event took place in Zagreb, while in 2013 it took place in Rijeka as part of the summer start-up conference RockPaperStartups, organized by Netokracija.
The leading provider of micro investments in Europe
Seedcamp is one of the largest international providers of seed capital in the world and the leading one in Europe for micro investments and the mentorship programme. The beginnings go back into the year 2007 and today, it unites almost 90 European start-up companies with the highest potential. The winners of MINI Seedcamp will be invited to the Seedcamp week happening in Berlin in November where they will spend 3 days in the company of more than 150 mentors and also find out about Seedcamp’s final decision regarding the investments.
Seedcamp is supported by an excellent team and a group of investors, who invest into approximately 20 start-up companies per year. They offer companies seed financing, three-monthly rent of offices on the Google Campus in London, weekly team meetings, 4-week long mentorship tour across the USA and other services in the amount of 150,000 euros. Investments amount to 25,000 to 50,000 euros in exchange for a 5- or 8-10% share in the company.
