Personal consultation from Marvin Liao, partner of the elite American accelerator 500 startups, attending the DEMO Day of the ABC Accelerator, and an all-inclusive package for the Pioneers Festival in Vienna are this year’s main prizes for the Slovenian Startup of the Year 2016. This award wants to find, expose to the media and reward ambassadors of Slovenian startup entrepreneurship. Those startups whose achievements, actions, reputation and development potential present a new generation of Slovenian innovative entrepreneurs. You can help us by nominating a company you think truly deserves such a title until 20 April.
Upgrade to the competition
This year, we’ve somewhat upgraded the selection of startups trying to get the award Slovenian Startup of the Year.
Besides the five best participants of the Start:up Slovenia competition, where the younger startups or the so-called young challengers compete, the final selection will also feature five startups nominated by active stakeholders of the public and private Slovenian startup ecosystem.

If you work for an organization that accelerates startup entrepreneurship (incubators, technology parks, accelerators, business angels, venture capital funds, startup media, public agencies and funds …) we invite you to nominate one startup company that you think deserves this title. The deadline is 20 April 2016.

Entrepreneurs, if you feel that your team or achievements, actions, reputation and development potentials shouldn’t be overlooked or if you maybe know a company that deserves such an award, connect with the closest incubator, technology park, accelerator … that can take your suggestion into consideration when choosing the nomination.

Ceremonial announcement of the winner at the PODIM Conference!
Members of the evaluation committee will meet on 11 May 2016 at 12:00 at the PODIM Conference, where they will sit down and choose the winner. The winner will then be announced at the evening gala event that’s part of PODIM Conference’s first day. We will also publicly present all ten finalists for this year’s award for the first time.
