A workshop for everyone who wants to learn how to present their innovative product or business idea briefly, succinctly and convincingly.

The workshop is also an excellent opportunity to prepare for Pitch Müsli, which will take place on December 9th as part of the concluding event of Maribor’s start-up community – STARTUP GROOVE 2014.

First theory, then practice

The workshop is intended for everyone who wants to learn how to present their product or service succinctly and convincingly, i.e. how to make a good pitch. You will get to know:

  • different ways of presenting ideas,
  • elements composing a good pitch,
  • verbal and non-verbal elements of the pitch,
  • typical content – from one slide to the next,
  • a demonstration of an effective pitch.

The introductory lecture will be followed by a workshop at which we will help you devise and perfect your pitch. So bring computers with you in order for us to be as practical and efficient as possible.

Up to 6 months of using the Start:up Geek House for free by pitching

Pitching at the evening Start:up Müsli event can bring you 6 months of free use of the working facilities in Start:up Geek House Maribor, namely in Venture Factory, the business incubator of the University of Maribor which has been completely refurbished not long ago.

The presentation format is a 3-minute long pitch before the attending audience and start-up mentors. The latter will choose one team at the end, and this team will be able to use the working space in Start:up Geek House Maribor for 6 months free of charge.

In order to participate at Pitch Müsli, you have register until Monday, November 8th 2014. Submit an application at this LINK.

The workshop is carried out as part of the programme of Start:up Maribor in collaboration with start-up school Hekovnik, EU CODE WEEK, FERI UM, University of Maribor, RAZ:UM and Microsoft Innovation Centre. The programme is co-financed by the Public Agency SPIRIT Slovenia and Ministry of Economic Development and Technology
