Pitching ideas to entrepreneurs and consultants concludes the first part of the autumn programme. The expert committee will evaluate and comment on the presentations of the business teams and chose the ones who will receive a business voucher for co-funding prototype development (3 x 1000 EUR with VAT), entrance to the Start:up GeekHouse co-working facility and programme of the GeekHouse start-up school. 

We will start the final event by talking with Aleks Jakulin, computer expert and experienced entrepreneur who is currently leading the company Ganxy in New York. Amongst other things, Aleks had also lectured at Columbia University, helped many entrepreneurs as a consultant, and is also the co-author of the globally established graphic format PNG. Aleks has more than 20 years of experience in the field of computer technologies. In his talk, he will present his business and technological experiences, and share advice for your business path.

Pitching ideas

The registered ideas will have short 5-minute pitches in front of the expert committee, who will choose the best ones based on five criteria (innovativeness of the idea and technology; size and growth of the market; potential and execution of the team; level of the idea concretization; business model). The ideas will be evaluated by:

• Sandi Vidovič; entrepreneur, CEO SportWip 
• Jure Verhovnik, head of the Venture Factory incubator

Each team will also have 5 minutes for questions and comments of the expert committee.

Registering ideas and presentations

If you wish to present your idea, get feedback from the committee and contend for attractive prizes, you have to send your presentation in the .pdf or .pptx format to the e-mail info@startupptuj.si by Thursday, November 13^th until 10 o’clock at the latest.

The event is also intended for networking, connecting and socializing, so we kindly invite everyone who is interested in entrepreneurship, is searching for a business team, wishes to meet ambitious business teams from Ptuj or is just curious. The participation at the event is free, applications are necessary.
