Join us at PODIM, the biggest and most influential startup conference in the Alps-Adriatic region, which will take place in Maribor, in the Habakuk Hotel, on 10 and 11 May. Once again this year, we will host 800+ participants from all over the world, including 200+ most promising startup companies from Slovenia and the region, 50+ reputable investors, and 150+ corporate representatives looking for strategic connections with startups. Also joining us will be 50+ excellent speakers, including former “bosses” from corporations, such as Apple, Microsoft (HoloLens), and Texas Instruments, as well as cofounders of two hot startups, like Tomaž Štolfa from Layer and Mariano Kostelec from UniPlaces.

This year’s PODIM Challenge, the investment part of the PODIM Conference, is also exciting. The main prize for the pitching competition winner is a one-week all-inclusive intense startup programme in Silicon Valley, in the joint value of 10,000 euros, organized in collaboration with the ABC Accelerator.
 
The essential new part of this year’s conference is also the partnership with big Slovenian companies – Kolektor, Iskratel, Telekom Slovenije, Pošta Slovenije, Nova KBM, and Zavarovalnica Triglav, which are trying to develop strategic partnerships with startups in the following areas: smart cities and communities, transport, materials and manufacture, fintech, Internet of Things, sharing economy. The mentioned companies will be represented at the conference with strong teams that will systematically look for opportunities to collaborate with startups.
