Online seminar for SRIP members - How to achieve a breakthrough in the circular economy by leveraging already established innovation models and in collaboration with startups?
This is an introductory seminar in a series of three where we will introduce the fundamental elements of an innovative business and how the best startups and established companies are using them in practice. We will focus on the key challenges of implementing innovation processes in established companies, where the existing culture is often not conducive to innovation. We will learn about the importance of internal entrepreneurs who bring new solutions to the company and are ambassadors of change. Connections with startups are also an important link.
We will focus on:
- Speed Boat Model,
- Sprint Model,
- Entrepreenurship in Residence model,
- Time Off Model,
- Speed Lane Model in
- Tool centered model.
All of these models seek to accelerate innovation within the company, which is also crucial for companies that want to realize entrepreneurial opportunities in the circular economy and also attract startups and other partners in the quadruple helix.
In the practical part of the workshop, participants will think about the suitability of each model for their company and the potential synergies of working with startups, which will also be present at the event.
The seminar will focus on the following key topics of the circular economy:
- sustainable energy,
- biomass and alternative raw materials,
- functional materials, processes and technologies
- and circular business models.
Who is the event for and what's the deadline?
The seminar is aimed at SRIP professionals and members of the public, potential members of SRIP, stakeholders in the quadruple helix of the Entrepreneurial Innovation Ecosystem, and especially startups looking to collaborate with established companies within SRIP.
Applications are open until March 9, 2021.
The keynote speaker of the seminar is Mag. Matej Rus - Lecturer in entrepreneurship and co-founder of Venture Factory, which is a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and a mechanism for transferring innovations from research institutions. He is also an expert of European Startup Monitor Tracker and an ambassador of Startup Europe for Slovenia.
The seminar will take place online via the platform ZOOM and by using MIRO.
