Students, researchers and professors of the University of Maribor! This autumn, two new public start-up accelerators are opening their doors for all your innovative business ideas. Modelled after the best accelerators from abroad, they ensure 50,000 € or 200,000 € of capital in the tenders SK50 and SK200, as well as excellent start-up mentors, an intense training programme, a working space, and the entire administration and documentation support.
 
We invite you to attend the introductory event for members of the University of Maribor taking place in the lecture hall of Venture Factory, the business incubator of the University of Maribor, on Thursday, September 11^th 2014, starting at 14 o’clock.
 
At the event, you will learn everything you need to know about applying to the tender, the participation conditions for both accelerators and the programmes for encouraging and supporting entrepreneurship at the University of Maribor. The presentation will also answer the most frequently asked questions and dilemmas of entrepreneurs who are deciding to apply to the accelerators. Entrepreneurial talents in university centres now have more support at their disposal than they did any time before. This autumn is thus the right time for realizing all promising ideas and starting an innovative start-up company. The University of Maribor and the innovation eco-system of RAZ:UM (which also includes the university incubator Venture Factory) have collaborated with national programmes of the Initiative Start:up Slovenia and the Slovene Enterprise Fund in order to provide everything necessary for a successful start of your own start-up.

14.10 – 15.00 Presenting the tenders SK50 and SK200, the participation conditions and new business accelerators
A detailed presentation of both tenders, participation conditions, and details about financing with a convertible loan or an equity investment. Presenting programmes of two new accelerators Start:up Geek House and Go:Global that, together with excellent start-up mentors, provide everything necessary for a successful launch and globalization of a start-up company.
