This year's main topic—renewable energy—addresses the issues of the Green Deal and focuses on solutions to today's key environmental challenges. innovators and start-up teams of up to five member have he opportunity to benefit from financial support. 

In the first phase of the competition—at the local level—a jury will select the best idea from a group of countries including Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia. The selected winning idea will then be presented at the BASF Innovation Hub 2022 Grand Final in November, together with the most successful solutions from other countries. The winner of the local event will receive €2,500 and the winner of the BASF Innovation Hub 2022 Grand Final wll receive €5,000.
